So how is your planning going for Xmas?

Well here we are at the end of November being bombarded with emails about Black Friday and Cyber Monday and Christmas is almost here. So how is your planning going?

I know that I am dreadful with Christmas shopping and every year I promise myself I will start earlier. I must say that this year I have done some so I have been better, but I know I will still be rushing around in the final week.

It is also the time that many of us come to the realisation that we haven’t lost the weight we said we would at the beginning of the year and we promise ourselves that we will start again in the New Year and this time we will mean it.

If this is you then I would love to help you at Weight Away and as a New Year offer for clients signing up in January and paying 3 months in advance the 4th month will be free.

If you are interested let me know but in the mean time I am attaching the Weight Away Christmas Special which has some helpful hints tips and recipes to help over the festive period. You can contact me via my blog or visit http://www.weight-away.org

Love Spaghetti Bolognaise try this

Quite often at this time of year we are all very busy rushing around to get everything done for Christmas.

One of the favourite meals for most people is a ‘Spag Bol’

Only problem is that these can be very calorific and full of sugar if you use a jar of sauce.

So here is my quick recipe which is low in calories.  This recipe is for 1 so just multiply the ingredients by the number of people you want to cook it for nothing could be easier.

Check the seasoning of the sauce, adding salt and pepper according to taste. Drain the spaghetti or macaroni, place it on a warmed serving plate and top with the Bolognese sauce, Sprinkle the parmesan cheese on top and serve at once.

Vegetarian option- substitute 40z 120g of minced Quorn for the minced beef, adding it to the sauce with the canned tomatoes Omit the bacon

If you’re freezing the recipe, freeze the sauce only and cook the pasta just before serving.

Do you like something sweet?

Often when we are trying to lose weight we crave something sweet. It is difficult at times to resist this. If you really are unable to give up chocolate then if you can try to eat 70% dark chocolate you will find that a square can be very satisfying.

However if you make yourself something sweet yourself as treat it can also be very satisfying and you can make things such as flapjacks for a lot less calories than you would buy in the shops and enjoy them all the more because you have made them.

These are ones that keep well in an airtight tin or box and are also great for sharing.

Losing weight gets you into shape!

It is amazing when you lose weight that you can’t imagine yourself being bigger than you are now. This hit me in the face when I was helping my daughter with some photographs for her ebay shop.

As she helps people declutter their houses at http://www.roomtobreathe.org.uk she also helps them to sell clothes they no longer wear. These are all good quality items so she decided to invest in some mannequins to properly show them off.

Of course because people are of different sizes she ended up with three, one which is a size 8-10 the second a 12-14 and the third a 16-18. Lined up together really made me think as I was once a size 20 so bigger then the largest one but am now a size 10-12.

The thing that struck me most about the mannequins however is that they have no lumps and bumps but they do diminish as you lose weight and dressing well for your size is the answer whatever you weigh.

You will find lots of quality clothes of all sizes at http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Kates-Bazaar29 and of course if you want help to lose weight I would be delighted to help you
